What gets us into trouble is not what we don’t know; it’s what we know for sure that just ain’t so.

I have a huge friend circle & I’m glad to be a part of different groups which indulge in different activities. Wherever I go, I love to talk with people. I belong to a group which arranges treks. I met a girl there. She was very beautiful & charming. Her dad was a rich businessman & she had everything that defines happiness. To cut a long story short, I always thought, that she is a pretty young lady who is happy with her life. And then, one day, when I was sitting in the office of our trekking group, she came. Her face was telling that she was extremely worried about something. I asked her to sit & she started crying. I enquired about the reason & was astonished by her response. She said, she is not aware of what is happening to her, but she is feeling insecure. I told her that there is no reason to worry about & we are all there for her.

After a few days, one of my friends told me that he saw her near his college. She was smoking a cigarette, he said. Later I heard somebody saying that she drinks a lot. Finally, I decided to ask her about this. When I met her next time, I asked her how she was feeling & she replied that even more bad. When I told her about whatever I heard, she reaffirmed it. I asked her whether her parents had any idea about this. And her answer was no.

I got the answer for her insecurity & nervousness as soon as I heard that ‘no’ from her. When we are doing something & deep inside we know that it is not right, we get trapped inside a pile of trouble. Because we know that we are going to be responsible for the loss, but for the current satisfaction we don’t avoid it. It is the most hazardous situation, because it stabs step by step.

That girl is now trying to get rid of those habits & doing things which her family is expecting from her. And she says she finds it satisfying. This is not just about cigarettes or beer. This is about all the addictions & wrong paths in life. Sometimes it can be about wrong job, sometimes about wrong partner or sometimes about wrong vision.

The best example of this ideology which Albert Gore tells in his speeches is that, everyone on earth knows that using private vehicles, doing pollution is not good for the environment. But, for the current gains & happiness, we are refusing the sustainable development. This can prove to be dangerous in near future & human species are in danger if that happens. We know this. But still, we choose the wrong path.

We should have the vision to decide what is right & what is wrong. And also, what is right today that can be wrong tomorrow. Troubles rarely come without invitation. And if they come without invitation, we can deal with them properly. But, if they come with our permission it becomes impossible to defeat them. So, I feel that we should be aware of everything that is happening in our life. Then only life will become glorious & worth-living.
