Albert Einstein was a great professor of Physics. Though he was a living legend, he never considered himself superior than others. He used to teach physics at Princeton University in New Jersey . One day, he was standing at the Bus-stop of the university after the college, waiting for the bus to come. A young & graceful man, holding some books of Physics & Mathematics was standing beside him waiting for the bus too. Einstein, looking at those books in his hand, asked him with curiosity, ‘what do you do, young man?’ He replied with a lot of attitude, ‘I’m a professor of Physics. And what do you do old man?’ Einstein smiled & said, ‘I’m a student of Physics’.
The responsibility & wisdom that comes with knowledge is worth thousand times more than the knowledge itself. Our satisfaction lies in getting success. We can’t see beyond that. Our curiosity has limits. Our horizons are defined. We are too calculative. The conclusion is, we hate to be the students. We hesitate to be in the process of learning. We hate the fact that somebody is superior to us.
This doesn’t mean that we should always think we are inferior. But we shouldn’t consider others inferior as well. Whatever we learn is not appropriate in all the situations. Some situations have different reasons, different causes & different effects. Yet, they look very much similar. So, it is not appropriate to use the same conclusion for every stimulus. The response might be different.
The best way to deal with some things is wait & watch. Experience the outburst of emotions, but be practical & rational at the same time. When you have a cup full of knowledge, don’t try to put more knowledge in it. It will overflow & leave you in a chaos. Whatever unnecessary is there, throw it off. Keep the essence in your mind & then fill the cup again.
When I see educated people with prejudices, I feel bad for them. They judge everything with some prejudices in mind. They see what they want to see, they listen what they want to listen & consider all other things as bullshit. They forget that change is everything. Nothing is constant. Having the courageous eyes & mind to accept the truth, to change our ideology is difficult, but not impossible.
If you will apply this phenomenon in your life, you will come to know that you’re getting more success in your work. When you become bias & try to differentiate between good & bad, you waste your time, health & money. Therefore experience everything but don’t get affected by it. Happy illiteracy! :)
