Gather ye rosebuds, while ye may…

Whenever it comes to enjoy the things, my superego tells me to pay attention to my duties first. Though I don’t listen to my ‘angel’ version every time, it makes me worry about my future. And then, it ruins my happiness.

I always believe that doing the things in right time has a lot of benefits. First of all, you don’t get into the worst habit of worrying. Secondly, you don’t miss anything important happening around you that could be of your benefit. Thirdly, it keeps you mentally fit to deal with the things. But the problem is, I always failed to do the things in that right time.

Yesterday, while reading the textbook, I came across a beautiful poem. The name of the poem was ‘Gather ye rosebuds while ye may.’ The poet had a small but very meaningful message to give. It was, ‘the life is short, world is beautiful, love is splendid & we must use the short time we have to make most of it.’ I loved the message. Obviously, the poet must have gone through the same situation like me, I thought. He too has expressed that pain of losing the precious time.

Really, in life, we don’t know the value of right time. When to do the things in life, seems like a great problem sometimes. But, the results definitely vary according to the time, I must say. The problems start from a simple thing like, when to study. They might end up to the problems of severe degrees like, when to express the love or when to start a Job.

And the situation is never very easy to handle. There are a lot of hurdles to face & the situation is a little bit difficult. Plus the uncertainty is always there. But the question is how long shall we wait? Sometimes, this ‘whether do or not do’ situation can be helpful also, as it brings the hidden truth to our eyes. But, sometimes, taking risk becomes inevitable. Time doesn’t wait for anybody. Once it is gone, it is not coming back for sure.

Harvesting crops in right time is very important for a farmer. If he doesn’t do it in time, he gets less profit. He has to know that perfect timing, when the crops are absolutely ready. The situations in our life are just like the harvest. We are the farmers. We have to know, when to wait & when to start. Because the life is too precious to lose the important things. :)

Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, old time is still a-flying
And this same flower that smiles today tomorrow will be dying…

Then be not shy but use your time, and while ye may, go marry
For having lost but once your prime, you may forever tarry…

  2. yes, actually you know what, there is nothing as 'perfect time'... if we decide to do it, it is the perfect time always, thank you still.. :)
