“There's one sad truth in life I've found
while journeying east and west -
The only folks we really wound
are those we love the best.
We flatter those we scarcely know;
we please the fleeting guest,
and deal full many a thoughtless blow
to those who love us best.”

Relationships are the most valuable & precious things in life. We never admire the beauty of the relationship & try to get rid of it. We know the value of a relation only when we are in the state of loneliness. We have the tendency to wear a happy façade in the world outside. But when it comes to the people we love or the most important relations in life, we become careless. We take them for granted. But when we realize our mistakes, we are far away from them in the world of mediocre happiness.
Many times, I feel that the blood relations are not strong enough. My friends, teachers are more precious for me than my uncles or cousins or even grand-parents. It can be like that, because I live in a nuclear family. I had a joint family first, but we soon got separated because of the quarrels. Blood relations are forced upon us without any choice but later we decide our friends, so we are more open to them.
My mom & dad care very much for me. They love me as I am. They are everything for me. Because, however good I’m today, it is because of them. They often tell me that you’re a single child, you don’t have any brother or sister, and hence you’ll have to keep good relations with everyone. Even after their bad experience about some people, they have taught me not to have prejudices. They want me to experience everything & then judge it. They are right. But I don’t feel any warmth or love for my other relatives.
Space in the relationship is really very important factor, I guess. It really works. If you give the other person enough space & see him as a ‘Known stranger’ every time, you come across a totally different & interesting person. Space keeps the love alive. In fact, it doubles the love. A relationship without personal spaces can’t last longer.
Trust is another important factor a relationship consists. About trust there is an interesting quotation:
“If you trust anyone till the end, you either get a very good friend or a great lesson.”
Lack of trust leads to the irritation & stops the smooth flow of the relation. Therefore, I find trust as a golden key for the success of a relationship.
Relations are easy to break but difficult to build. A person with different & beautiful relations is the most happy & most wealthy person in the world. Respect the relation you accept & adore it till the end.
